A coalition of APC support groups in Jigawa State has strongly condemned the actions of the party’s National Financial Secretary, Bashir Usman Gumel, over his alleged involvement in an unauthorized political gathering that sparked unrest and chaos.
According to the group, Gumel attended a gathering in Kafin-Hausa Town on August 31, 2025, where inflammatory statements were made against Governor Umar Namadi and the state party leadership.
The group claimed that Gumel’s actions were in clear breach of the APC constitution and called on the national leadership to investigate and take disciplinary measures against him.
The APC support groups also demanded that the party reinforce internal discipline and loyalty, reaffirming the supremacy of party structures and leadership, especially at the state level.
The condemnation comes amid Governor Namadi’s ongoing outreach program in Kaugama Local Government Area, which the group described as a people-centered initiative reflecting the APC’s commitment to grassroots development.
The APC support groups expressed loyalty to the party leadership and Governor Namadi, citing his developmental strides and inclusive governance as reasons for their support.
They trust that the party will act swiftly and decisively in the interest of justice, peace, and party supremacy.
