Beta Nigeria, with support from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), proudly announces the launch of Voices of the Future podcast—a groundbreaking youth-led series that puts Nigeria’s education agenda under the spotlight.
This podcast flips the script: young Nigerians aren’t just being spoken aboutthey’re the ones asking the questions. In each episode, junior secondary school students engage directly with top decision-makers shaping the future of basic education in Nigeria.
Confirmed guests for the first season include representatives from: The Federal Ministry of Education.
The Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education (NCAOOSCE), civil Society Organizations, and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) from tackling learning poverty and education financing to confronting the realities of the Almajiri system, Voices of the Future offers a bold, unfiltered look at the policies, politics, and people behind Nigeria’s education system.
“This is a civic space podcast where young people demand answers, and institutions show up,” said a spokesperson for Beta Nigeria. “We created this series to bridge the gap between policy and the people it affects the most.”
The conversations are candid, sometimes uncomfortable, but always constructive. Each episode explores themes that matter deeply to young Nigerians, from inclusive education and infrastructure to teacher welfare and systemic reform.
The Voices of the Future podcast will be available on all Beta Nigeria YouTube platforms, with the first episode premiering on 12th September 2025.
