Bauchi State Governorand Chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum, attended the 110-member National Convention Organizing Committee (NCOC) inauguration today in Abuja.
Tasked with overseeing the planning and execution of the 2025 Elective National Convention scheduled to hold in Ibadan, Oyo State, from November 15–16, 2025, the committee is chaired by His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State, with His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, serving as Vice Chairman, and His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, as Secretary.
Speaking, the PDP National Chairman, Amb. Iliya Damagum, who welcomed members, emphasized the critical role of the committee in ensuring a successful convention.
Damagun while stated that the convention will elect new national officers to lead the party into future elections, describing it as “mission critical” for the PDP as the leading opposition, reiterated the Party’s efforts in stabilizing the party despite internal and external challenges, stressing that the PDP remains united, unbroken, and determined to reclaim power and restore Nigeria’s democracy.
Speaking, Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Governor Mohammed reaffirmed the unity and discipline of the forum, assuring members that the governors remain committed to navigating the party through challenges and strengthening its collective resolve.
