Jigawa announces N7.67m final fare for 2027 hajj

The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the final fare for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage at N7,672,822 per pilgrim.
The Director-General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, FCFA, NFI, disclosed this in a statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Yusuf Babura.
According to him, pilgrims who have already paid the initial deposit of N7.5 million are required to pay an outstanding balance of N172,822 to complete their registration and payment for the pilgrimage.
Labbo directed all pilgrims in the state to ensure that the outstanding payments are made on or before September 18, 2026, stressing the need for timely completion of the process.
He also charged Zonal Officers of the Board to intensify mobilisation and sensitisation among pilgrims to ensure that all intending pilgrims meet the payment deadline and make adequate preparations ahead of the September 26, 2026 departure date.
The Director-General thanked the Board’s officers for their cooperation and commitment towards ensuring a smooth Hajj operation.
He also expressed appreciation to the Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar A. Namadi, for his continued support to the state’s Hajj operations, particularly for providing loans to facilitate the acquisition of Hajj seats for pilgrims.
The Board urged all affected pilgrims to take the payment deadline seriously and complete their financial obligations within the stipulated period to avoid delays in the Hajj arrangements.
