The commissioner for cooperatives and small and medium enterprises development in bauchi state, hon. sadiq hamisu shira, has officially flagged off the distribution of ict facilities to 7,000 beneficiaries in bauchi local government area.
The facilities, which include laptops, phones, pos machines, and tablets, are designed to support and empower small businesses across the state.
So far, more than 16 local government areas have received the ict packages, with smooth implementation reported in different parts of the state.
The initiative, which started in bauchi lga, is set to cover all 20 local governments, giving both men and women access to the facilities.
Hon. sadiq hamisu shira expressed satisfaction with the process and commended governor bala abdulkadir muhammad for his dedication to strengthening small businesses in the state.
He further assured that the program is only one of many initiatives to come, aimed at improving economic opportunities for residents.
The commissioner urged the beneficiaries to make proper use of the facilities to become self-reliant and contribute to bauchi state’s development.
The executive chairman of bauchi lga, hon. mahmood babamaji, also appreciated the commissioner for extending development to his local government and expressed gratitude to governor bala abdulkadir muhammad for his leadership.
He promised to ensure that the facilities are well utilized while praying for the continued success of the governor.
