In a bid to promote education and support underprivileged students, Danmodi Students’ Care in Roni Local Government has been actively engaging in various initiatives. The organization’s efforts are part of the Jigawa State Government’s agenda to ensure access to education for every child in the state.
Danmodi Students’ Care has provided various scholarship programs to support students in Roni Local Government. Thirteen undergraduate students benefited from full local scholarships, while 19 female students from Jigawa State School of Nursing and College of Health Science and Technology Jahun received ₦50,000 each under the “Women for Health” scholarship program. Additionally, two Master’s students received ₦50,000 each in 2024 and 2025.
The organization has also been providing support to students registering for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination. In 2024, Danmodi Students’ Care provided 188 free JAMB pins to 219 candidates, while in 2025, 201 students benefited from free JAMB pins.
Danmodi Students’ Care has been working tirelessly to secure admission for students from Roni Local Government in various universities across Nigeria. During the 2024/2025 academic session, the organization secured admission for over 79 students.
In an effort to reintegrate dropout school children, Danmodi Students’ Care provided 1000 school uniforms and other learning materials to support their education.
To ease transportation challenges for students, the organization distributed bicycles to junior and senior secondary students in Roni Local Government.
Over 14 students benefited from individual scholarships provided by Danmodi Students’ Care. These scholarships are a testament to the organization’s commitment to supporting students in Roni Local Government.
These initiatives align with Governor Umar Namadi’s 12 point agenda to promote education and support underprivileged students in Jigawa State. The governor’s commitment to ensuring access to education for every child in the state is evident in the efforts of organizations like Danmodi Students’ Care.
Amb. Muhammad Salisu Seeker, SSA on Students’ Affairs to the Jigawa State Governor, has been instrumental in promoting education and supporting students in the state. His efforts have contributed significantly to the success of Danmodi Students’ Care’s initiatives.
