The Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahamed Umar Labbo, has congratulated Governor Umar Namadi and the people of the state on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

In a statement issued on Thursday by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Yusuf Babura, Labbo described Eid-el-Fitr as a significant occasion marking the end of a spiritually rewarding month of devotion, sacrifice, and reflection for Muslims worldwide.

He prayed to Allah to accept all acts of worship performed during the holy month and grant continued peace, unity, and prosperity to Jigawa State and the nation at large.

The Director General also disclosed that preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise are at an advanced stage, assuring intending pilgrims of a smooth and well-coordinated operation.

According to him, the Board will resume its comprehensive Hajj orientation programme across the 27 Local Government Areas of the state shortly after the Sallah celebrations.

Labbo urged prospective pilgrims to take advantage of the orientation sessions to acquire essential knowledge on Hajj rites and procedures, which he said would ensure a successful pilgrimage.

He further expressed appreciation to Governor Namadi for his consistent support towards improving the welfare of pilgrims, noting that such efforts have enabled the Board to secure suitable accommodation in close proximity to the Holy Mosque in Saudi Arabia.
