Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has been commended for his commitment to transparency, accountability, and grassroots development, as members of the Dan Modi Unity Forum from Gwaram Local Government Area paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House in Dutse.
The delegation, led by the Chairman of the Forum, Hon. Haruna Mairiga, said the visit was aimed at expressing their unwavering support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and appreciation for the governor’s developmental strides across the state.
Speaking during the visit, Mairiga described Governor Namadi as a leader who has demonstrated prudence in the management of public resources and remained committed to improving the living conditions of the people.
He noted that the forum was particularly impressed by the governor’s efforts in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment, which, according to him, have positively impacted communities across Jigawa State.
“As stakeholders from Gwaram Local Government Area, we felt it necessary to visit His Excellency to show our solidarity and appreciation for the remarkable work he is doing. We are proud of his achievements and his commitment to the ideals of good governance,” Mairiga said.
In recognition of what the forum described as his exemplary leadership, transparency, probity and accountability in the management of state resources, Governor Namadi was presented with an award of excellence.
The forum reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC administration and pledged continued support for policies and programmes aimed at promoting peace, unity, and development in the state.
Responding, Governor Namadi expressed gratitude to the members of the Dan Modi Unity Forum for the honour and confidence reposed in his administration.
The governor stressed the importance of unity and collective responsibility in achieving sustainable development, noting that no meaningful progress can be recorded in an atmosphere of division and disunity.
“Having a forum like this is very important because unity remains the foundation of every successful society. No meaningful development can be achieved without peace, cooperation and understanding among the people,” he said.
Governor Namadi assured the forum of his administration’s support and encouraged its members to continue promoting harmony and peaceful coexistence within their communities.
He further reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance and equitable development across all parts of the state, emphasizing that his administration would continue to prioritize projects and programmes that improve the welfare of the people.
The visit, which attracted political stakeholders and community leaders from Gwaram, ended with renewed pledges to strengthen unity and support initiatives that will accelerate development in Jigawa State.
